My Favorite Skin Care Products

Writer's picture: Keetha VueKeetha Vue

As a teen I always had dewy skin and little to no breakouts. However, as I grow older and now in my twenties, my skin is prone to breakouts and is very sensitive. Granted, I’ve always had sensitive skin when applying makeup products or trying new skin care. Over the years, I’ve tried different products to supplement my skin’s dryness or maintain the breakouts. Some have worked more than most but I thought I’d share the products I’ve used that worked for me in the past 2 years. I recommend giving these a try if you’re looking to switch your skincare routine or have dry and sensitive skin. Enjoy!

OZNaturals Vitamin C Facial Serum

I love this product so much. It’s really helped to improve smoothness, even my skin tone and decrease the appearance of acne scars. Thanks to the rose hip oil my skin also doesn’t feel dry after applying. This product is cruelty-free, vegan, and gluten-free. If you’re looking for a healthy glow and to increase your collagen production, I recommend trying this out. This serum can be used daily or if your skin is more sensitive, try using it every other day. You can purchase this serum for $18 on Amazon.

Body Merry Hyaluronic Dew Serum

I absolutely LOVE the Body Merry brand. They use high-quality, natural ingredients and all products are cruelty free and never tested on animals. The Hyaluronic Dew Serum is one of my favorite skin products because it’s helped improve my skin’s elasticity and rids blemishes. One of the ingredients is Green Tea and it smells amazing! I apply this product thinly on my face in the evenings after washing my face. If your skin is feeling extra dry, it can also be applied in the morning. This product is great if you have:

  • Dull or Dry Skin

  • Hyperpigmentation

  • Uneven Skin Tone

  • Sun Damage

You can purchase this serum for $18.99 on Body Merry.

Murad InvisiScar™ Resurfacing Treatment

I was looking for a product to reduce the depth of my acne pit scars and decrease discoloration. This product was highly recommended by a friend and an employee at Ulta. After looking at reviews I finally decided to try it. And after 5-8 weeks I could already see the improvement on my skin. This resurfacing treatment has helped reduced my scars and skin discoloration. It’s a great treatment for the following skin types:

  • Normal

  • Oily

  • Combination

  • Dry

  • Sensitive

This is a great product but in my opinion, the only downside is it is expensive for the quantity you receive. You can purchase this at Sephora, Ulta or on Murad for $35.00. A similar product I’ve heard that works just as well but is cheaper is CeraVe’s Resurfacing Retinol Treatment. I bought it for $16.99 at Target and hoping to try it soon.

What are some of your favorite skincare products? Let me know! :)
