Oh, summer, you beautiful season. Summer is the perfect time to stroll through the park with friends after brunch or enjoy a relaxing day at the lake. However, it can be so hard to find the right outfit that is comfy, sensible and chic. Especially if where you live the summer’s are hot and humid (like MN).
So, do not fear, I came up with two outfits that are chic, glamorous and easy-breezy. So whether you want to leave some room after brunch and mimosas or feel comfy and secure for a walk through the gardens, these are the outfits for you.
LOOK ONE: Jumpsuit Life
Jumpsuits are a timeless, statement piece that work for any occasion. They are fun, flirty and easy to wear. Paired with the right accessories and shoes, you’ll look fashion forward and be ready to conquer your day.
For my outfit I wore a sheer, red jumpsuit with pleated material from Zara. It has no zippers or buttons so it is super easy to slip on or off; making it easy to wear a bikini underneath for the beach. For this outfit, I included a yellow handbag. The contrasting material, of the handbag, provides more structure to this flowy jumpsuit.

Choose a jumpsuit that is fun and flirty. Usually a bright color, print material or a sheer look. This can be perfect for the beach or a walk through the lake after brunch. Keep in mind zippers or buttons if you want to avoid some tricky slip-ons when using the restroom.

LOOK TWO: Did Someone Say Slip??
Oh slip dresses, you can do no wrong wearing slips to any occasion. Slip dresses are perfect for a Galentines night, cocktail party or a summer wedding. They are perfect for any occasion, like the beach or a stroll through the lake. This slip, with it’s eccentric color and lace detailing ties together a chic but breezy summer look. Plus, its mid-length cut is perfect for sitting or lying on the grass or sand.
For this outfit, I wore a lime-green slip from Cotton On and paired it with the embroidered handbag for the added tropical vibe.

Find a statement slip, it could be a bright color, made of silk or lace.
Accessorize it with a statement piece. For my outfit, I decided to add another pop of color via the handbag. Your accessory could be earrings, a handbag, sunglasses, a straw hat or all of the above.
